The downloadable pdf file below details what is available for sale, with prices. The Gietz sales brochure is a mid-century pastel design delight, which also happens to detail the wonderful features of the press and its technical specifications.
Details are in the inventory pdf file, but the pricing overview is this: - Gietz Model 60 single color press: $8,000 US - Albion iron handpress: $7,000 US - Hohner tabletop press: SOLD - Miehle V-50 press, plus an identical parts press: $2,000 - Ludlow Model M typecasting machine: SOLD
The Gietz fine-art (parallel) platen press is the star of the show, rare in the US - I know of only 3 others. It's type-high is 0.928 inches, European height, and I have hundreds of pounds of metal type whose type-high is also 0.928. The Model 60 is a legendary press, said by Jack Stauffacher, a titan of west-coast US printing, to be the best hand-fed platen press available in the late 1950s. And so it was, and still is, with features that printers envy!
